LOTTERY
The Red Plaque Scheme is entirely funded by the Firefighters 100 Lottery, a weekly charitable prize draw administered by the Fire Brigades Union. By joining, you help us to honour more firefighters across the UK and maintain the Red Plaques.
How it helps
The Firefighters 100 Lottery is easy and accessible to join. Participants can buy tickets for as little as £1 per week, making it a sustainable form of giving and a consistent source of long-term funding. Now with thousands of weekly participants, the Lottery has funded all existing Red Plaques alongside initiatives including support for bereaved families and rehabilitation for severely injured firefighters.
How it works
For every pound, at least 50p goes directly to charitable causes including the Red Plaque Scheme, while a maximum of 21p covers administration costs and 29p is entered into a prize draw. All players have the chance to win this weekly cash prize, and any surplus funds generated by the Lottery go directly into the initiatives it supports.
